When visitors come to the Aspen Cos Bar, they often have a three-word explanation for why they're seeking new products: "I look horrible!"

"The altitude makes people dry and puffy," says Betsy Sheridan, manager of the Aspen Cos Bar. "It's really like a syndrome that happens, and everyone wants to look good on vacation!" But looking good can be a matter of just knowing which products to use and "a few simple tricks," according to Sheridan.

"They make you look so much better, but you still don't look like you're wearing a ton of makeup. Just fresh and radiant — that's the key," she says.

First, Aspen clients want to add hydration to their skin. Sheridan recommends Natura Bisse's The Cure Sheer Cream, Oyxgen Cream, and C+C Vitamin Cream, which are top-sellers. Laura Mercier's Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer is also a big seller. "Clients love its light-reflecting qualities," Sheridan says.

Orlane's Anti-Fatigue Serum is a great primer under makeup. "It gives the skin a little more plumpness, so it's not so dry-looking," she explains. Sheridan also loves Crème d'Olives, which she says "really makes you wake up with a fuller, more hydrated face."

For dry lips, Sheridan says it seems like Aspen customers come in every ten minutes to buy LipSmart, which she says "produces more collagen and essential lipids to hydrate and naturally plump lips." For lines on and around the lips, Aspen customers love Orlane's Extreme Line-Reducing Lip Care.

For puffy eyes, Sheridan sells gel eye products from La Prairie, Sisley, and Laura Mercier. "The gel consistency is better for draining fluid and puffiness," she explains.

There are also a few "simple tricks" you can do with makeup. Laura Mercier's Secret Brightening Powder is light-reflecting, so wearing it under the eye makes you look more awake and alert, Sheridan says.

"There's a blue eye corrector by Laura Mercier called Eye Basics in Eyebright," Sheridan says. "You put a dot on the eyelid above the pupil, and it makes you look really awake and revitalized, especially when you add mascara. And Laura Mercier's new Eye Canvas covers any darkness and makes you look awake and refreshed."

You can also do a lot of tricks with NARS' The Multiple. "I use it as an illuminator on the cheeks," Sheridan says. "Luxor is my favorite right now. You put it right on the brow bone, and it really makes you focus on the bone, so you don't notice wrinkles."

For a similar effect, try using a highlighting powder to freshen your face in the middle of the day. "It give you a healthy, alive look," Sheridan says. "And it's super simple!"
