When the weather gets warmer, it's important to look for products that beautify AND protect your skin from the sun, says Cindy Hyman, sales associate at the Cos Bar at El Paseo in Palm Desert, California.
"A lot of [skincare] lines feature products for women with previous sun damage, aka those who baked themselves in the sun like I did, who now have sunspots!" says Hyman.
"Natura Bisse's Diamond White exfoliates and lightens visible discoloration. Pair it with their sunscreen, which comes in SPF 50 and SPF 30 (the latter is oil-free and really lightweight)," Hyman says. While you're at it, check out Natura Bisse's new BB Cream, The Cure Sheer Touch, which is a gradual self-tanner that gives an instant luminosity to the skin.
There's also La Prairie's new whitening and brightening line, White Caviar Illuminating Système, which includes a cream, hand cream (with SPF 15), eye serum, eye cream, and a spot treatment. La Prairie also has a Sun Protection Emulsion with SPF 30, which is great for the décolleté and neck. "It's a little heavier, so I wouldn't wear it under foundation," Hyman says.
Bobbi Brown's Miami Collection is also hot at the Cos Bar at El Paseo. "Beach Shimmering Fragrance Oil is really nice for summer, and their Shimmer Cheek Glows are really pretty in pink [Miami] and gold," Hyman says. "They coordinated it with these Long-Wear Cream Shadows in sand [Nude Beach], Copper, Bronze Sugar, and Candlelight for a really beachy look. And for removing all your makeup after a summer day, I love Bobbi's new Soothing Cleansing Oil, which takes everything off and helps reduce redness or irritation. Perfect for after a beach day!"
