Paris is known for iconic fashion, fragrance and skincare houses. And my trip wouldn’t have been complete without paying a visit to one of the most infamous beauty houses in Paris- Guerlain. Having grown up smelling Shalimar and seeing Guerlain products on my mother’s vanity, it’s no surprise that I too grew loyal to the brand. I have more Rouge G’s than I’d like to admit and I can’t go a day without their Terracotta bronzer or Orchidee eye cream. Which is why I was eager to visit La Maison Guerlain at 68, Champs-Elysées.
Effortless, refined, minimal, and très chic: perhaps the best way we could describe the French approach to beauty. We traveled all the way to Paris to find the skincare secrets of French women, who are known for gorgeous skin and youth that never fades. We went straight to our Parisian brand, Orlane, at the acclaimed Orlane Institute to discover how we can achieve the glow we’ve been searching for.
Fountain of youth, here we come!
I met brand founder Kirsten Kjaer Weis a few years back in New York. Kirsten was incredibly down to earth and welcoming, making it feel like a catch up with a friend rather than a business engagement. It was in that meeting that I fell in love with her, her brand and the amazing foundation I’ve used daily ever since. So, when I decided to take a trip to Copenhagen, I figured I should spend my weekend living it as Kirsten would if she were back in her Danish hometown. Let the adventure begin!
